I did not get around to writing a post yesterday, but never fear. I spent some quality time on the elliptical and I'm really glad I did because lately I have been weighing in on Saturday mornings and every little bit helps.
I was pleasantly surprised when I got on the scale this morning. I'm not quite ready for the whole posting pictures of the scale on the internet thing, but I lost 1.8 pounds this week which, according to MyFitnessPal puts my total weight loss at just over 27 pounds. It's nice to see my hard work payoff.
After my date with the scale I was craving pancakes, but discovered that I had put the box of pancake mix back in the cabinet practically empty. I so win at being an adult. I made a grocery run and came home the proud owner of brand new box of pancake mix, a personal watermelon, and a lot of bananas among other things. I made pancakes, gave myself some time to digest, then went for a run.
I did not do a full 5k today. What I did do was really enjoy my run. It was snowing and even though I wore way too many layers and was boiling hot almost immediately after I started, I just turned on an audiobook and basked in the novelty of having snow melt on my face. Most people love warm weather, but this February baby revels in the cold. Bring on the snow, hold the ice, and drop those temperatures. I love it and I love being outside in it. After a quick lunch of pasta, I planted myself firmly on the couch and started watching 90210 on Netflix. I have no plans to move from this spot for the rest of the day.
